Sewing Skills Workshops - Winter - Spring 2020
These workshops are ideal for beginners, refreshers and those wanting to build on their existing sewing skills.

4th January Sewing Machine Basics Overlocker Basics
How to thread, wind bobbins, & sew How to thread, maintain & overlock
18th January Basic Seams and Hems Sewing Machine Maintainence
Straight Hem, Flat and zig zag seams Learn to maintain and simple repairs
1st February More Hems Cover Stitch Machine - Basics
Blind, Twin and Roll hems Twin and chain stitch for Stretch fabrics
15th February Zips More Zips
Standard & Jacket Zips Concealed and fly Zips
29th February Clothing Alteration Tips Key Pattern Alterations

14th March Buttons & Buttonholes Sleeves
Raglan, Shirt, Inset
Tutor, sewing machines, drinks and flapjacks provided (please bring own overlocker or coverstitch machine for those workshops).
Individual morning or afternoon workshops £20 each,
3+ workshops reduces to £17.50 each
10+ workshops reduces to £15 each
Booking is essential - £5 deposit per workshop secures your place

Thursdays - Bishop Auckland Workshop
1 hour, at time to suit you between 3pm - 6pm
Home Ed group 2-3pm
£25 per half term (5-6 sessions)
Level 1 - Hand sewing pincushion and appliqued mini cushion.
Level 2 - Machine sewing - making strip patch cushion or bag :-)
Level 3 - Machine Sewing a Simple cotton Top
Level 5 - Choice of simple skirt or PJ trousers
Level 6 - Embroidered Item
Level 7 - Small Quilt
Level 8 - and upwards are independant choices, building on skills
Community Certificate - Making Garments for a community Project such as dress a girl around the world or for Award winning Kynryn.

Stitch Kidz can be offered in schools as an after school club for KS2 & KS3 - feel free to contact and discuss :-)
Small friendly group for those who already sew and would like to do so in company and skill share. Participents bring their own projects to work on, with a tutor on hand to help with any tricky bits. Only £4 per session
Most Tuesday Mornings 10 am - 12.30pm Minumum of 2 participents required, Space for 5 participents :-)
Includes:- Drinks and cookies plus optional cuddles with cats and small friendly dog :-)

PJ's: Please bring 1 1/2 - 2 metres soft touch medium weight fabric
Boxers: Please bring 1/2 m lightweight or jersey fabric plus 1m skin elastic or elastic lace
7th March Wrap Skirt Childs Dress
Please bring: 2 metres medium weight fabric, Need 1 metre fun fabric :-)
Tutor, Sewing Machines, Haberdashery, drinks and flapjacks provided.
